EVIM offers you the opportunity to get involved in Germany and for the world of tomorrow as part of the “weltwärts” development policy volunteer service, together with our partner organization in Benin.

Information for applicants from Benin
You live in Benin and have Beninese citizenship
You are between 18 and 28 years old
You are interested in working full-time (39 hours per week) at one of the project locations
You are willing and able to live in Germany for 12 months (always from September 1 of one year to August 31 of the following year) and support a social institution
You are motivated to get to know new living conditions and Germany
You want to use your skills and abilities for social institutions in Germany
You already have some knowledge of German (at a level between A2 and B1 according to the CEFR).
Where can I perform my service?
Our locations are in Wiesbaden and the surrounding area.
(Wiesbaden is the capital of the state of Hesse in Germany.)Possible areas of work include
Working with senior citizens
Working with people with physical, mental, and/or psychological disabilities
Working with children aged 0-6 in kindergartens and nurseries
monthly allowance for pocket money and meals
Free accommodation
Comprehensive insurance coverage
EVIM covers flight and travel costs
Support in preparing for your volunteer service (e.g., for visas)
Coverage of visa costs
Entitlement to 30 days of vacation for the entire volunteer service
25 seminar days for personal development
Educational support from EVIM
A qualified job reference at the end of your service
During your service, you will be accommodated in one of our apartments. The apartments are located in downtown Wiesbaden. You will live with up to two other weltwärts volunteers in a shared apartment (WG). Each room is equipped with all necessary furniture and internet access.
Seminars are a mandatory part of voluntary service—in addition to your work at your placement. They provide a space for exchange and interaction with other volunteers and offer you opportunities for personal development on many levels.
During the voluntary service, there are 25 seminar days (usually on a weekly basis).
If you are interested in a place on our program, you can apply between October and January.
Important: Unfortunately, we cannot respond to or process applications outside this period!
