Guidelines for volunteer services

  1. Voluntary services offer teenagers and young adults the opportunity to spend a year working in a charitable field, thereby contributing to the shaping of social coexistence. Voluntary service is a unique opportunity to get to know yourself better while helping other people.

  2. Volunteer services offer opportunities for development and orientation. The personal development process is individually supported and initiated and promoted by EVIM and the placement locations.

  3. Volunteer services at EVIM are open to everyone, regardless of gender, origin, sexual orientation, educational background, or religious affiliation.

  4. Volunteer services enable encounters on an equal footing. Very different people meet both at the places of assignment and at the seminars. Mutual exchange sets in motion a learning process that strengthens awareness and acceptance of differences and reinforces commonalities.

  5. EVIM is committed to democracy and peaceful coexistence among all people. We take a stand against all forms of discrimination, anti-Semitism, racism, and sexism.
