Information for placement locations
Today's volunteers are tomorrow's skilled workers! We support and advise institutions on how to deploy and supervise volunteers in their various fields of work. Benefit from our expertise in volunteer services and our experience.
We look forward to working with you! The following steps are required for the recognition process as a placement site:
- Submit the application for recognition to EVIM's Volunteer Engagement Department (and please include your organization's current concept with the application).
- Appoint a supervisor who will provide professional and personal guidance to the volunteers throughout the entire volunteer year.
- Create a job description that is as detailed as possible, outlining the job profile and requirements for volunteers.
EVIM Volunteer Services ...
- will arrange an initial meeting with you at your place of assignment and provide you with detailed information about the volunteer services.
- adds your place of assignment to the list of job vacancies to be filled.
- supports you (in the BFD) with your application to the Federal Office (BAFzA).

- offer detailed initial information for interested institutions
- provide you with a handbook and an instruction calendar
- conduct at least one visit to the assignment location per year, or more if necessary
- inform you of any legal changes, etc.
- are available for direct information, exchange, and joint coordination (e.g., for specific questions or conflicts) as needed
- invite you to at least two annual meetings/training sessions for instructors or placement managers
- We are happy to be your point of contact and support you in all matters relating to voluntary services.
